Oil of Olay Name Change
Which would explain the reason why "Oil of Olay" has decided to drop the beginning of their name to just "Olay." Women are reading more, educating themselves about the ingredients within the skin care products they buy, and have fortunately clued in to a well known fact: Oil is BAD for your skin. The most common oil formulated into skin care products is Mineral Oil, a liquid hydrocarbon created from petroleum. Doesn't our dependence on oil just stink? Even skin care products are petroleum based! Mineral oil is terrible for the skin because it sits on the surface, clogging pores, and preventing the skin from breathing. This is a well known fact in the beauty business, but still most skin care manufacturers still continue to formulate products with this cheap ingredient. But it's not an inexpensive ingredient anymore.
So it's understandable why "Oil of Olay" would want to drop the beginning of their name. It's almost like seeing a product on a shelf labeled "Toxic Junk." But good luck to any continuing users of the newly named "Olay." Even though the name has changed, the products themselves are still watered down, loaded with Mineral Oil, and contain more chemicals than your average swimming pool. There is an alternative, but you won't find it on a shelf at Wal-mart. L'Bri Pure n' Natural is a natural, Aloe Based skin care company sold through Independent Consultants throughout America. No water, Mineral Oil, or Sodium Laurel Sulfate is ever formulated into these products, making them more concentrated and effective than anything you've ever tried before. Stop wasting your money on products that require name changes to protect their image.
