What's
Wrong with Starting a
Part Time, Home Based Business
Without an Investment?
It seems that everywhere
you turn, people are looking for fast, easy ways to work at home for no
investment. Unfortunately, there is definitely something to be said for
the saying:
You
can't get something for nothing.
Starting a business
will always require some amount of investment. Depending on the job you're
doing you may need to work on a computer, ship packages from your home,
or talk on the telephone long distance. Just these three items can cost
quite a lot of money if you don't already have them.
Home based businesses
also require a lot of work. You may think that by "working at home"
you'll be free to do whatever you want and still get paid for it. This
is deluded thinking because working from home can be very hard work.
You're always at work.
There is no where to go and sometimes it feels like the walls are closing
in around you. I work so hard some days that I forget to eat!
There are many companies
within the US that offer you the opportunity to start a home based business
without an investment. These companies are typically scams. Always ask
yourself: if it costs nothing for me to be able to join, how is anyone
making any money?
The answer is usually
in the fine print. Many companies force autoshipment of their
products. Your credit card will be charged each month as your house fills
up with useless products. This is typically know as the policy of "Buy
a Lot and Let it Rot."
It's
important to understand that not all home based companies are bad.
But the ones that
allow you to join the company without any investment typically are.
You need to put money
into any business before it's able to grow. Joining a company with no
investment is like buying a car with no wheels. It might have a great
engine and excellent interior, but without wheels, it isn't going to go
anywhere.
Money
can determine your faith and stamina in a pursuit. If you put a lot of
money into something, you will typically see it through. By not investing
in your at home business, you're not going to have the passion or resolve
you will need to be truly successful. It's very easy to give up and quit
when the going gets tough when you have nothing to lose.
There are many reputable
direct selling business available in the US that will allow you to sell
products for a small investment. Oftentimes this investment runs between
$100 and $400, which is very small considering that a store front business
could cost more than $10,000 to launch successfully.
This investment usually
pays for all your training materials and products you will
need to get started. It's good to keep in mind that while most direct
selling companies claim to be "home businesses" what they really
mean is "home based," and you will have to leave the house to
sell your products in person.
Some companies will
allow you to sell products on the internet and thereby work entirely
online. Selling products online can be much easier when you're first starting
out, and usually requires less of an investment, but it can take quite
a lot of time for you to be bringing in steady money. You may need to
work for 1-2 months before your website gets enough traffic to generate
consistent sales.
But for many people,
this is a dream job.
My
name is Leah Day and I work
part time at home for L'Bri Pure n' Natural.
I began this business for a low investment back in October of 2007. I
love working online because I'm able to be at home with my son and help
people from all of the US with their skin care issues. I always wanted
to own my own business, but never thought I would be able to afford
it.
If I can succeed
at this, so can you. Contact me
today for more information about my online training
guide and how I can teach you how to start a home based, part
time business online.
