Planning Your Grand Opening Party

Your Grand Opening Party is a very big day! It's the first day of your new business and the best way to introduce all your friends and family to L'Bri Pure n' Natural.

The first step to launching a terrific party is to PLAN! All great parties require planning, lists, and careful attention to detail. Your Grand Opening doesn't have to be elaborate or complicated, but you do want to make sure that everyone has a fun time and learns a lot about L'Bri.

Here's a list of questions to help you plan your Grand Opening Party:

1. Select a date within 2 weeks of today. Plan for your party to last around 2 hours. What time do you want the party to start?

2. What do you need to do to get your house in order for that day? Make a list and check it off as each item is done:

3. What food would you like to serve at your party? Keep it very simple and easy to prepare! Small appetizers like cheese and crackers make excellent party food. Write a list and check it off as you purchase each item:

4. How many people can you invite? Make sure to start your Investor List today and start calling people to let them know about your upcomming party!

5. When will you send out invitiations? You should aim to send out invitations so they arrive a week before the party. Make sure to include a note that friends are welcome!

6. Create Show Folders for all Guests - This is simply a professional looking folder with several L'Bri flyers tucked inside. You'll want to include a L'Bri product guide, L'Bri vs. the Competition Brochure, Aloe Barbadensis Brochure, Capture Your Dreams Brochure, and of course an order form and pen in each folder. You'll want to collect these folders from everyone before they leave and use them for all of your shows in the future.

7. Create Hostess Incentives - Your goal is to book as many shows as possible from your Grand Opening party so make sure to have incentives for people to sign up as hostesses! Create 3 to 5 small gift bags with 3 samples in each as a reward for guests agreeing to host a show. Great samples to include are the Facial Masque, Hand and Body Lotion, and Body Wash. Even if all of these don't get picked up at your Grand Opening, you can still use them at your shows to invite more bookings later!

8. Create Recruit Incentives - Recruiting new members to your team is also essential to your business. This is called your Big Dream Movie Night Bag because it encourages those guests that pick one up to start dreaming big about L'Bri. Again, if all of your bags don't get picked up you can always use them later for other shows!

Your Grand Opening Party

Your Grand Opening Party is actually very simple. You're just going to show and tell L'Bri products to your closest friends and family members! No one will mind if you mess up a little and this is great practice for holding shows later.

As your guests arrive, ask them to put their name into a basket near the door and also put a piece of transparent scotch tape on the back of everyone's hand. Make sure there are enough chairs to go around with one Show Folder on each chair.

Once everyone has arrived, call everyone to attention and thank them all for coming.

Next, start with your "I Story" and the reasons why you joined L'Bri. Try not to ramble on and on, but make this fun! Everyone likes a good story! Make sure to take a moment and highlight the Hostess Incentive Bags that are available for anyone willing to book a show during the Grand Opening. Detail the benefits of holding a show and how hostesses can earn up to $150 in products for just $50!

Once you've explained a little bit about L'Bri and our company philosophy, then start profiling each L'Bri product. Don't worry if you don't have all the products on hand, it really doesn't matter! Just tell everyone just enough information so they understand which products will work for their skin and why they will be so effective.

During this speech, demonstrate what you mean about visible results by having everyone remove the tape from the backs of their hands. Explain that the junk they see stuck to the tape is actually dead skin cells that are dulling their complexion and how naturally exfoliating L'Bri products are for the skin.

Make sure that you pass around the products you have so that everyone can try them on the backs of their hands.

Finally close your lesson with a short explanation of how much the products cost and how much everyone can save by purchasing the Essentials Set or Basics Set. Make sure to remind everyone that order forms are included in their show folders and if they have any questions to just ask.

Once you're done talking (and all of this information really shouldn't take longer than 30 - 45 minutes to get through), get out of the way and allow guests to mingle. Women love to visit and chat and will appreciate having time to talk for awhile. Be available to answer any questions anyone has and receptive to any comments.

Pretty soon guests will start filling out the forms and submitting orders to you. Make sure that you have all the information you need to process their checks or credit cards promptly.
